I'd prefer team switch to remain in the past.
For every person using it for an innocent reason there were dozens more abusing it.
Team switching had its own rules, you could not jump from one team to another 10 times, it was limited to one or two times, you could not jump to another team when your team was low on points, you could not switch to another team when there were more people than on your team.
But when in battlefield 2042 I was literally thrown over the side of the USA 9 times in a row, I personally really wanted to have the team switching function returned to the game. Exiting the game and re-entering it means that now you have to wait in line of 32 people to play, and it’s not a fact that you won’t be thrown again for the same team
