I'm ending the hate right now and if I still see hate against the bots after this I will have no choice but to believe they are simply trolls.
While I do agree there should be Options for those that don't want to play with bots. They are never going to be removed and these are the reasons why from a past petition we had for adding them to Battlefield 4.
1) They make multiplayer accessible for persons who don't play online (Yes many of these people still exist)
We just prefer playing with bots because they don't have to be totally frickin sweatfests! If we want that it's what normal multiplayer and Insane Difficulty bots are for.
2) They allow a player to practice all of the game modes at ANY TIME on ANY MAP with a full compliment of combatants.
According to DICE this is the main reason they are adding Bots to Solo and Coop matches as well as the Official EA/DICE servers. It allows us to play ANY MAP we want Whenever We Want To! This is also why the Bot Matches need to stay in ALL future Battlefield games as well even if they are removed from the PVP servers.
I still can't play my favorite maps in Battlefield 3 because those servers are always empty. This must NEVER happen ever again! So if you hate bots than Too Frickin Bad! Karma is finally coming to those who said they would never bring back the Bot Matches from the original games.
3) They dont curse, cheat, complain, or leave the match when loosing.Yep. Bots don't rage quit like those sweaty tryhards do when you beat them. Never said I was bad at Battlefield. I just prefer the Bot Matches.
4) They allow for a full game without any lag, slowdown, or dropout.
This depends more on if the Solo Matches are playable offline or not but even if it's online only you will still have a better connection since you would be using local servers without having to worry about if you are close to the NA or EU servers.
5) They provide great opponents Vs. teams of humans (once their difficulty is turned up).
This is what the COOP Bot Matches will be used for 🙂
6) They cause a game to have Infinite replay value.
See #2
7) It would be a great opportunity to practise all of the vehicles. Online it is very hard to practice new types of vehicles.
This is also true. I can't ever even get a Jet on Battlefield 4 because they are taken by others as soon as they spawn. Sure I can fly on empty servers but it's not the same as flying during an actual matches with people trying to kill you with Anti-Air Vehicles and Stinger missiles as well as fighting against other enemy Jets.
This is why I hope the bots are great in Vehicles as well.
I truly want Battlefield Mayhem 24/7 on Whatever Map I want to play on Whenever I Want To.
This is why the bots need to stay in Battlefield 2042 as well as any future Battlefield games.
Hopefully even the Hazard Zone and DICE LA modes as well for those of us who want to experience those modes with Both Matches as well.
Sorry for the long post but this is stuff that needed to be said and there is honestly NOTHING AT ALL those complaining about the bots can ever say that will ever change any of this!
The bots are here to stay and if you don't like them than too frickin bad!
We have been waiting for more than A Decade for them to bring back Bot Matches. In October the wait will finally be over!
I didn't take the time to read the Netflix mini series you wrote, but, as long as there are options......to roll with them or without.............that's what will appeal to the masses.
Options are key 👊

I think this will be very nice to avoid all of those times I try to get into an attack heli only to have the driver refuse to take off or suicide because he wants his mate to get in.
Ultimately I think they will be a nice addition to the game as long as they are not janky and randomly headshot people. Will be interesting to see if their difficulty scales and how that would work on a live server. I've heard that this solution is already used in one of the Battlefront games? Maybe I will have to do some research or someone here can pipe up about how well it worked.
Also interested to see if the bots effect the server pop numbers.. ie if they 'trick' people into thinking the server is more populated in the server browser. That's usually one of the criteria I've used in the past to determine what server I want to join (don't want to join unpopp'd servers).
It is kind of confusing to see all of the whining before we really know much about the game. I think people need to settle down until more is revealed. Just my two cents.
