The New Forum Format

Totally agree -- not user friendly at all :: I supect people  will post less and less, until forum dies......

Must agree, there's topic with many answers, how do I get quick access to last posted? Since I scroll and keep pressing "show me more"

Not a big fan of this new format, hopefully it gets better with time.

As much as I like the background for the board, it'd be nice if that menu was a colour that's easier to see. I switched to dark mode in the end so I could see it. 

For what it's worth I did pass this on as feedback when the migration happened. 

I must say that I also still seem to have to get used to the new forum format.

And I lost a ton of badges.

The old forum wasn't that bad actually.

I'm finding it hard to tell if there's been new replies to a post. The unread feature of this forum is bugged and will say there's unread replies even though I've read them all.

All newly created topics are automatically marked as read even though I haven't read them.

When clicking on a subscribed topic it doesn't automatically bring you to the newest unread reply.

@Man_iLoveFishing the workaround I'm currently using is to sort the topic by newest, instead of oldest. I also set display format to linear instead of threaded, in forum settings. Since there's no way to sort by latest replies in threaded.

From what I understand most of our awarded badges should be ported over, but I think it'll probably take some time. Hopefully you had the security newsletter ones come through yesterday, though.

It's not just the format, I guess this will take some getting used to, but there are several bugs.

I had to refresh this page to finally be able to type a reply.
Similarly I have had an issue where I wanted to create a new topic and all I could do was type a topic title but the text body of the topic itself did not appear, and then it took me multiple tries to edit my own message to finally get some text in.

As in many other changes, they do what they do without giving any thoughts about us who use it. EA is a dictator compared to developers. "TAKE IT OR GET BANNED!"
