The Nightbird's bug that lets it evade missiles without using flares is an issue

It's subtle bugs such as this that make vehicles seem more dominant than they actually are. All it takes is turning the aircraft a certain way and the locked on missile will miss and explode mid air...

There is a bug report for this. But the submitter doesn't realize why it's happening. They even attached a video to the bug report. You can see the aircraft is hovering just above the 30m mark and thus the FXM is able to lock and fire. Then, just after he fires, the heli dips below 30m and the missle flys off. This happens twice in the video, back-to-back. and it's a transport heli in this case.

    @rainkloud I noticed this as well, but also noticed it is far more inconsistent in the latest update. Sometimes below radar losses an active lock, sometimes it did not. Hell, I'm always getting locked on lmao.

    Bare in mind, that the Nightbird bug mentioned here, is separate from this. The Nightbird bug has more in common with the old locked on missile bug from the game's launch, where the missile would just spin around the aircraft until it explodes dealing no damage.
