Update 3.2 Feedback - Weapons

Hey everyone,
 
We'd like to hear your feedback on several gameplay elements now that Update 3.2 is available for play.
 
Today we'll focus on Weapons.

  • Like:

    • Addition of vault weapons
    • Ammo types. 
    • Guns feel well balanced.  Gunplay feels good.
    • Love the flexibility that the AP underbarrel gadget provides, it feels like a free gadget.

    Dislike:

    • Unclear on what the purpose of AP ammo is. Feels too weak versus vehicles considering the tradeoffs.
    • Vault weapons could use a bit more love to bring them up the the standard set by the other AoW weapons.

    What I'd change:

    • I love the KOBRA style sight.  I loved that BF3(?) allowed me to put that sight on every gun.   Can we get customizable/selectable crosshairs again?
    • I loved the reverse recoil mechanic on the LMGs from BF1.  Interesting.  Very creative/clever way to make the LMGs feel unique and play differently than just an Assault rifle with a fat mag. Would love to see that come back - even if on just one or two guns.
    • SFAR feels a bit like a no compromise gun.  Great gun + a decent anti-armor ability with the AP underbarrel nades.  Mackay or Sundance with C5 + SFAR w/AP underbarrel is arguably a better anti-armor option than the engineer class options while giving up very little against other infantry.

    @Straatford87 Vault weapons are still very weak,changing to underbarrel launcher on assault rifle is so slow &clumsy,also switching to melee also very slow&clumsy, weapon loadout keeps resetting so takes 3 goes to sort out,on xbox series x, tdm is sort off fun &spawns are better than when I last played, can tdm/infantry only be

  • too many assault weapons already.

    need more LMG and bolt action rifles with variations for different play styles:

    -faster rate of fire, lower damage

    -lower bullet speed, faster rate of fire

    -better handling, lower rate of fire

    -etc.....

    -bolt action rifle with iron sights should get a slight increase in rate of fire to compensate for not using optical scopes.

    -headshots with slugs on shotgun should be one shot kill within 40meter (not many people use shotty in these huge maps)

    -every weapon should come with iron sights as standard, including vault weapons

    -attachments does not seem to make much change to guns (focus on this).

    -new recon specialist introduced in season 4 but she does not come with any new sniper rifle to accommodate her entry... this is disappointing and so out of touch.  What are the developers thinking?

  • DMR`s spread need to buff especially DM7 and VACR,they have too big spread at medium or long range to shoot at maximum firerate.And DM7 need to buff base firerate like buff to 360 just because BSV have similar BTK but have higher firerate.

    The ADS time of the sniper rifle is too slow and bolt animation is too poor,I think it could be changed to like GOL, it have the best animation and ADS time

    12M is still too op,M880 is still weak, masterkeys are both better than M880, please keep balancing them.

    Increase the takedown range and success rate,We often interrupt the takedown animation just because the enemy moves a bit.
