please bring in game voice chat to battlefield 2042. It is very puzzling and frustrating to me that a game based on objectives such as capturing areas and capturing data drives does not have in game voice chat to talk to squad mates. I have numerous games now (espically in hazard zone) where not being able to talk to squad mates definitely contributed to my squad mates dieing when I could have warned them. Also, not having in game voice chat does not allow you to meet other players and add them as friends on EA friends list. Please add this to the game

@F3URY Totally agree. Will it be hard to implement this technically because of cross play between all the platforms? Is there another game out there with cross play and voice chat?

Sorry. That's a "legacy feature" meaning it was never meant to be implemented because it assisted the other games. Welcome to the new EA/DICE

I don't know if it was intended that there is no voice in game but I think there is more an issue to get all platforms into one game (PC, xBox and PS5)
Seems more to me that there is an issue which is not working correct so they have it deactivated
Also, here in EU we have so many languages and most people are not willing to speak English so, 90% of the time I muted the voice anyway. When I don’t understand my mate in squad voice is useless for me. Also, I don’t need to listen to the favourite music of players in my squad.
I think when they enhance the ComRose with more sentences and make it more performant (it’s a little bit clunky at the moment) this in my opinion would be acceptable for most of the players.

EA/DICE never intended to make this a team-game and saved the money to enable such ordinary and basic functionality...

Hell Let Loose comes to mind. A great game created by a much smaller studio. The thing is however, they have crossplay disabled for PC. They only allow crossplay between consoles but yes, you can talk to other players regardless of what console they have.

@F3URYfully agree with you, a global- and squad- voice chat is a keyfeature for every strategy game.
And when I think back to good bf days that was also standard feature! including a commander who coordinates the squads by voice. ,,that was so great and works very well"
@Ea Many players/veterans do not play in clans and therfore do not want switch discord servers all the time.
