Well, Battlefield Bulletin posted it on Twitter a little while ago like it was now official, so I don't know to be honest.
Still sucks either way.

To be honest, probably not. The only caveat would be if it significantly increased the player count, then maybe.
It would also depend on what that premium content was too, I suppose.

BFV was live service and we got a lot more than 'breadcrumbs' for free including 14 new maps and 2 new armies with faction specific vehicles as well as new weapons.
And because all of the post launch content is not locked behind a Premium paywall I can play on every new map in Conquest and Breakthrough on Australian servers during evenings and weekends 4 years after the game came out.
It was literally impossible to find populated Australian servers for any BF4 premium DLC map packs a month or so after they released.

@Ironhead841I do not understand why they would announce this. But it tells me that they are just tired of this game and wants players to know hey this is the end. they had enough of our complaints and upper management said just tell them what is coming up and let’s move on. We know now what to expect because they already have it completed seasons 3 and 4 and ready to roll out. After the last season if there are bugs and even if there is a fix for those bugs move on. Do not spare anymore money or time on anything. Features, maps, guns nothing just Stop.

nope. Done with this BF. Nothing but trouble since launch and and minimum effort to fix from EA/DICE who pretty much gave up on it from the beginning.
This whole game has been 1 big beta for their next title, and i helped pay for it like a sucker.
