"We're not walking away from specialists, they're a key part of 2042". Just to set the record straight - no they're absolutely not, their gadgets are, and could easily be wielded by faceless soldiers in normal bf classes. The specialists are however are a key part of 2042's future revenue plan, a revenue plan that is non-existent since the players are... well... gone.
Imagine being this tone deaf on a franchise level. I laugh at DICE Stockholm, I laugh at EA Gothenburg, and laugh at Ripple Effect. May they continue to waste their time and resources on a game nobody wants.
I don’t understand why Dice is digging in their heels so much. The community has given them so many better ideas to solve the problem.
Could it be because we had classes in Portal but no one is interested? Maybe a lot of people do enjoy the specialists? Maybe this few 100 people in this forum does not represent what does the majority of players (consoles included)likes or not. Just speculating. If everyone plays AOW and nobody plays portal, the player numbers are sending a message to DICE: we are ok with specialists.

I agree. I like the specialists. None of there abilities are to strong so it's not like this a hero shooter. I hated in every other battlefield not being able to choose the gaget's I want and the weapon I want. Random squads don't play together and don't do any teamwork. So I need to be able to choose the things I want
