Just to set the record straight - no they're absolutely not, their gadgets are, and could easily be wielded by faceless soldiers in normal bf classes. The specialists are however are a key part of 2042's future revenue plan, a revenue plan that is non-existent since the players are... well... gone.
Imagine being this tone deaf on a franchise level. I laugh at DICE Stockholm, I laugh at EA Gothenburg, and laugh at Ripple Effect. May they continue to waste their time and resources on a game nobody wants.
