A massive benefit of server browser was its ability to allow communities to self organise and play together on a regular basis. Also, you could find a squad that worked well together, even randoms, and play through a tonne of maps together smashing it.so I’m curious as to when squad management is eventually delivered, If that squad will stay together in the next map? Or will be it a bunch of randoms again?Whilst squad management is going to be great, I still think we’re using a large component of what made BF fun to play.

From a technical point of view.I believe it’s purely a game design decision and not a technical one.

@NazT55 Easy enough to store player ids in a db and move them into a new server together.

There are literally zero plausible arguments for not providing the ability to play with the same squad and or even a whole team for more than one map. From a technical point of view.

I believe it’s purely a game design decision and not a technical one.

@NazT55 In Rush and TDM squads and teams stay together throughout the map rotations so it can definitely be done in 2042.
Unless the 128 playercount is too much. Which in itself is an argument for the return of permanent 64 player servers.

@BFB-Praetorian I tell you why it is not that easy.
Currently "All out Warfare" runs on the Matchmaking (Hazardzone) Platform. Rush and TDM run on the Portal platform.
Thats why the lobby in Rush and TDM is semi persistent, and on Breakthrough and Conquest it is assembled anew for every match.

If they bring in the server browser and you choose to play on a certain server, I see no reason why it cannot be done as there should be no matchmaking taking place and just a map change.
Most likely wont get a server browser but it still should be possible.
