Why does this game take so long to update?

@RitualMurderer took me all of about 4 minutes - game actually updated while i was in a match.
4AM crossed by, match ended, i had a notification to restart the game and apply the update.
I did, about 4 minutes later, re-launching the game and right back into the action.
