So I just don't get why all I read is how bad 2042 is..... I'm really enjoying the game... sure there's issues but there is on every game launch The bugs made me laugh, the wait times remind me of...

I have not denied that you are having problems. You're clearly annoyed at the issues you're having, but they're not universal. Have you actually investigated and tried to find if there's anything you can do to try to fix it? Have you tried different party sizes? Have you tried different game modes? Have you turned crossplay off (or on)? Have you filed a support ticket? Have you started a thread of your own seeing if there are any other players with the same issue? This might help you find some commonalities that could pin down the problem and potentially lead to a solution.
Or are you just going to conclude (for no good reason) that it's because no one is playing the game and get triggered when people don't automatically agree with you?

Late reply, but what if i don't play the game? No problem with finding lobbies then. It is not my duty to fill lobbies. If there are just not enough players for every lobby, it is clear, that the playerbase is shrinking. End of discussion about that, because it is not a "technical issue".
everyone is a little more angry than usual because of the pandemic. Which of course also affected the development on this game and others which only feeds back into the first sentence.
I don't get it myself. I mean I get it beause it always happens because people tend to react badly to change and because BF games are buggy/unpolished at launch almost without fail. But it seems more out of control this time around or it almost seems like a sport rather than being that genuine.
It really feels amplified by social media algos. People are reacting to reactions of reactions of reactions of a few hot takes.
I mean it is actually funny watching a streamer or two play this game. They have fun and shoot stuff. But yet are constantly asked about how bad and broke the game by their followers who are watching the streamer enjoy themselves in a game that is working good overall right in front of their eyes.
- @babypants1 i agree a lot of hate for the game is blown out of proportion, but lets be honest with ourselves as well.
EA-Employees have repeatedly stated the game is in a great state trough all levels of management, so either they all just assumed DICE was "ahead of scheduele" or they knew full well of the state of the game and lied to us....
Then you get EA Managers like Mr. McNamara making absolutley tonedef claim, painting the entire community as toxic, borderline villifying everyone who critiques the game... i know he since deleted the tweets but this community has been putting up with a lot since 2018... and this is just what broke the camels back and EA/DICE-management having played with fire ever since BFV not got burned by their decision and justly so, this buissnessmodel of release barely functioning games now and maybe fix them later or dump them needs to stop...
