Have the same issue as the 3 files missing as you and sometimes its 168 or 166 mb missing and game has been crashing for 3 days straight without any solutions
You need to add BF 2042 folder as an exception in the windows defender anti virus.
Disabling real time protection works too but you'll have to keep disabling it (windows is annoying and turns it back on)
If the crash happens again, make sure Windows Defender is disabled and then "repair" your game files, double check defender is disabled again and run the game.
