Another High CPU Temp issue after recent update
I see more BSOD/high CPU temp posts lately, I would like to report a similar issue happening to my desktop atm. I also see some clues which make me believe that the most recent EA update might causing ASUS CPU temp detecction inccorectly, which inadvertently affects PWM where Fan is forced to run at minimum setting while CPU is very hot.
Enviroment:
AMD 5950x
ASUS ROG X570 Impact
ASUS ROG Ryujin 360 cooler
ASUS ROG 3090
Everything was working perfectly fine until maybe a week ago. Where I saw FPS dropped significantly when playing the game, with occiional system reboot (Go black screen without anything, which does sounds like CPU gets too hot and triggered the protection to hard reset).
What I can see the root cause is that whenever the game is launched, my ROG Ryujin reports CPU temp as 0 degree, which caused the Fan always running at minimum level. Note that before launching the game, it reported correctly and PMW works as expected (I can hear Fan speed adjusts as CPU intensive application starts/exits). As soon as Battlefield launched, the fan just go slient.
Looking at Event Viewer, it's very clear that "ASUS Com Service" was interrupted as soon as the game is launched. Tried to manually start the service but unable to do so:
A timeout was reached (60000 milliseconds) while waiting for the ASUS Com Service service to connect.

After exited the game, I am able to start ASUS Com Service, but CPU temp doesn't come back.
It can be all resolved by a normal system restart. Everything works fine (CPU Temp reporting, PWM fan adjustment), but as soon as Battlefield is started, it breaks!
EA, please reproduce this issue at your end and see if this is a widespread issue.
