Battlefield 2042's Anticheat uses more CPU (or rather the entirety) than the game itself.
When you join any game, the Anticheat consumes the entire amount of CPU. You can't disable it in the task manager.

Does anyone have a solution or do I have to wait until BF 7 to delude myself that the devs will stop killing the series?
My EA anticheat takes up more cpu than the game, it's actually nuts.
Recently my game started to stutter badly, I thought it was some driver issue but then I realized the anticheat was eating 45 to 50% usage of my CPU, making the game almost impossible to play like at all. Is there any fix to this or it's just their gaming feature ?

I’ve played plenty of newer and more demanding titles that I don't even meet the requirements for, and nothing else wrecks my system like this. After all the criticism at launch, where people were already having hardware issues you'd think this would've been fixed by now.
EA and DICE need to address this immediately. It's not just an inconvenience; it's making the game unplayable. We paid for a working experience, not one that puts our PCs through the wringer just to run anticheat.

@MarcusUno Actually, what's more important is the fact that this is coming up to two and a half years old, and they still don't have a handle on it.
That should be an embarrassment for them on its own, let alone everything else that's happening after all of this time.
It smacks of people not knowing what they are doing.
EA Anticheat TeamIs this every match, or just during the startup? EA anticheat does use a bit of CPU during its initial startup, but it should decrease to "expected" levels once the game is fully loaded.
If you're not seeing that, please let me know and I can dig into it further.
It's present in the main menu and in-game. The anticheat is using at least 25% of CPU once the app is launched. I posted a link to another thread with people complaining about the same thing.
