Battlefield 6 & 2042 Video and Audio Stuttering

I've had this issue starting with Battlefield 2042 and it seems to be happening in 6 now as well. Every 30 seconds or so for about 2-3 seconds, my screen will freeze / stutter and the audio will tear as well. With 2042, I assumed it was just an issue with the game itself or the EA launcher but with 6 on Steam I'm at a loss. I've tried everything I can think of and nothing seems to alleviate the issue.

PC Specs:

CPU: Ryzen 9 5900X

GPU: RTX 3070ti

RAM: 32 GBs 3200 MT/s

OS: Windows 11

 

I have friends running the game on less powerful hardware and I seem to be the only one with any issues. I've tried a few suggestions found on this forum but nothing has worked so far. has anyone else ever had this issue with either game? For reference, I've played all the other Battlefields on this PC without issue.

    I also had the problem my whole pc freeze completely nothing to do except force shutdown

    I figured it out. Turns out it was my CPU cooler. I upgraded my CPU years ago for a more powerful one but never changed the cooler. It wasn’t an issue for most games but CPU intensive ones like BF2042 and BF6 would cause the CPU to overheat and throttle. I never noticed it because it was just barely at the threshold. Swapped in a more powerful cooler and I haven’t had a single issue since.
