BF 2042. Conquest not loading 08.05.2026

The game is too old for updates, for today's standards. 

Any solution an update maybe ?

Me too, solo play returns to main menu...

Glad to have found this post as I have experienced being bounced out of loading a conquest map then a black screen and kicked back to the main menu. It's happened for several weeks now. I tried going over all the fix info and nothing solved it. My conclusion is     EA is the cause. It sure is sad that you buying the game can hardly play it any longer. I did hear EA was sold to the Arabs a while back. Perhaps this has something to do with the problems we are experiencing. I've played BF2042 a lot and never encountered this BS. I may step away from buying from EA and using their servers in the Future if they don't get their **bleep** together.

Exact same issue as everyone. ItsBaybars's vid is literally what's happening on my end too.

It's been two weeks, do we have an official answer from EA or ?

How often does the bug occur: Every time

What is the AMD or Nvidia Model Number of your graphics card: Nvidia Gforce RTX 4060Ti OC

Troubleshooting steps taken: reboot game, Verify integrity of games files (Steam) ,

windows update , Nvidia drivers updated, crossplay OFF and ON

What type of issue do you have: Not loading Conquest,Breakthrough game ( portal works)

When I try to join any game in Battlefield 2042, whether it's Conquest Team Deathmatch or Breakdown, the screen stays black for a while, then it throws me back to the lobby without letting me join. My graphics card drivers are up-to-date. My internet connection is good. I repaired the game through the EA app, performed EA app recovery, restarted the game, and even tried opening and closing the Task Manager, but nothing changed. but I  can connect to the servers in the portal. I don't understand what's happening.

I also haven't been able to log in properly for a whole week.

I have same problem.unable to connect conquest.Black screen then return to lobby.

I even uninstalled and reinstalled Windows 11. Nothing changed.

So many of us have the same issue all of a sudden leaving a lot needlessly going through what you've done. On very rare occasions I've managed to join a server...only for everyone to be waiting until the servers filled enough..which is never...so we still don't get to play. Might see what this Arc Raiders is all about lol.
