Hello, I've been trying to play Battlefield 2042 past the season 2 update and it keeps crashing randomly, I can't tell if this is an issue brought by the new update itself or just an issue with the fact i had changed windows installation as I had reinstalled my OS before the update came out, the game will run fine for the most part asides from the game randomly crashing after a small freeze, the game gives no error, it could either be in the menu, mid game, after a loading screen or even after two games but it will always crash.I've tried most solutions i've seen online and none have really seemed to help, I also noticed there seems to be more loading time in displaying models then there used to be, end of game screens will most of the time show loading models for characters where they wouldn't before.If I could have any help on this it would be much appreciated as I've managed to play 66 hours of this game before with no issues so I'm a bit confused on why this could be happening.

@EA_Atic I have tried the following things:- Updating my drivers- Verifying the files- Rolling back my graphics drivers (both game ready and studio drivers) with DDU- Reinstalling the game- Clean booting- Clearing Cache- Disabling all programs I run 1 by 1, nothing seems to change, although turning off iCUE made me stay ingame for a full hour (normally crashes happen within 30mins without fail).I do not always get an error, I'd say 75% of the time I get no error and just crash to desktop, 25% of the time I get an error (GPU_HANG one each time, except for one, as I documented earlier in this thread).Edit: Just tried again and crashed after 10 mins, even with iCUE off, seems it was a coincidence earlier.

400+ hours and all of a sudden i too can not play anymore. season two content patch prior to the update started causing no error game crash at season two Splash/trailer. already contacted EA and went through ALL the troubleshooting as well as doing clean boots, reinstalls of all launchers (ea app and origin) as well as reinstall of the game itself 2x. i was told by Customer service that the season 2 update would most likely fix the problem but absolutely nothing has changed. im getting nowhere and its farily irritating. wish i could help you man but im stuck too.

Hi, I've tried a clean boot and while it looked like it fixed the issue for the moment, it froze and crashed halfway into a second match, the only things that were running was Steam, Origin and the game itself, I've attached my DxDiag, I hope it can help find the issue, thank you.

@EA_Atic This is happening on XBSX. Started tonight. Blank/dark screen then you have to force the console off so you can reboot.

Hey, @PUNISH3RM3RC @cpltaggart can you try a clean boot to see if any programs are messing with Battlefield 2042 and turn off any overlay programs, such as Discord or Nvidia experience.

Can you add a Dxdiag so we can see what hardware and drivers you have?

I have had exactly the same issue. Prior to season 2 - no crashes. Now following update I have had 5 this morning at different places including loading a level, end of round screen and collection screens.
Very frustrating as never had this before this (subpar) update.

yes i also got the dsme issues like yours crash to deskzop without any error screens....

My game also crashes randomly and it's always a DirectX error. I've tried reinstalling the driver and going back one version. It started after the Season 2 update.

It is even worse for me as I cannot play ANY games anymore since the BF2042 Season 2 update. I even deleted and reinstalled my entire PC but still every game crashed with an directX error that the graphics driver has crashed.
