When I deploy a bipod (on an LMG for example) it confers no bonus and I can still move in any direction.What should be happening instead? I should only be able to look/aim when bipod is deployed and accuracy/recoil should be greatly improved.Bipods are basically broken and do nothing to improve a weapons given abilities. Completely useless attachment.

I thought this was the case for me also but realized I had to press down on the d pad and they work great now. Hope this helps.

@Damuramu Press whatever button that you would have bound for Toggle Underbarrel in order to deploy the Bipod again.

@ELDesperato The first thing I tried was to check the controls layout in options to make sure I was using it properly. I'm pressing the "toggle underbarrel" button to deploy the bipod. I see the weapon shift slightly on my screen but then nothing else changes. I can still move and my weapon still kicks like a mule.

@Damuramu Can confirm what I have found is that you can still move with the bipod extended from Toggling Underbarrel, but if you aim down sights it's disables movement altogether while prone which is the intended surface to use the bipod, note that prone will also prevent movement while ads even without bipod so that is unintended to begin with. Having the Bipod extended does help with the recoil on any gun that it would be deployed on, just has to be activated first to work, and have to be in a position that recognizes the Bipod i.e. Prone mostly

You can't move while prone and ADS with any weapon regardless of bipods.

I am currently using the bipod attachment on both the [AK-24] and the [LCMG], and just like you I am experiencing the same issue with the bipod on PS4. Even when I have the bipod deployed the recoil remains pretty much the same. Maybe there is some improvement on the recoil but that difference is barely noticeable. I still have to fire short bursts in order to maintain a steady recoil the further away I shoot. The people that says the bipod is working, by providing better recoil control once it has been deployed, do NOT know what they are talking about. Perhaps the bipod is working for them but it does not work for people like me.

Bipods do not work, hardly any reduction in recoil, and worse they do not stick in position, They are orderline useless.

Yup I can confirm bipods don't work well in this game at all.
1. When deployed it removes sway but the improvement to recoil control and accuracy is pretty negligible. There is still substantial recoil. They should significantly reduce recoil and spread when deployed on a surface. I mean, we're completely stationary and a sitting duck. It should be way more beneficial.
2. It barely improves hipfire at all unlike previous games. They should tighten the hipfire spread when the bipod is deployed on a surface.
3. The bipod keeps collapsing every time I switch to a pistol or gadget. They should remove the ability to collapse the bipod and just leave it permanently deployed when equipped (like the PKP BP). There is no benefit to collapsing the bipod, and it's just annoying.
