Can’t get past opening menu. HELP!

So I got my money back from steam and purchased on Origin thinking there was an issue with Steam’s installer. I still have the same problem: high CPU usage, very low GPU usage. The opening ship scene chops along at a very low frame rate, and when I get to this screen my mouse cursor blinks, and I am unable to select anything on the menu. 

my system. Up to date install of Windows 11, Gigabyte Aorus Gaming 7 mobo, Intel i7 8700K, 32GB 3200 Trident Z memory, EVGA RTX 3080 FTW3 Ultra, 2TB EVO 980 m.2, Logitech G915 TKL keyboard and G502 Lightning mouse. I have tried both plugged in and wireless- made no difference. All possible conflicting programs were shut down- X1 Precision, Discord, ICUE Dashboard etc. 

i can play CoD MW with zero issues. I can play CoD Vanguard and Cold War with zero issues. All games, including BF 1&5 run extremely well. BF 2042 can’t even run the opening menus. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, verified the files but nothing works. 

EA/DICE we pay a ton of cash on these games, and every year the issues seem to get worse not better. I know I’m one of hundreds with issues, but I really would appreciate some reply offering solutions to these issues.
