I have been facing this error for approximately 1 monthI have 1200 hours of gameplay and this has never happened to me before.I've already tried using DDUMicrosoft redetributableChange the registry.I've seen several videos on YouTube and nothing solves it.

Does disabling Extreme Memory Profile (XMP) in bios help?Is Battlefield the only game experiencing the DirectX error?

Did you purchase the game with EA app or the Steam app?Have you tried repairing the game in one of those apps?

Have you tried installing an older Nvidia driver version?

The last thing I can think to try is moving the Battlefield 2042 folder in Documents to a different location. Try moving Battlefield 2042 folder to your Desktop.This will reset all the game settings. If it doesn't work then move the Battlefield 2042 folder back into Documents folder.

@Guinishir Btw. I get that error when i run 4 sticks (all dram slots) but not with 2 sticks.

Depends on platform and your hardware. Kind of complicated to explain but you have plenty of guides on the net regarding gaming stability and bios settings.
But if you don't have change anything (drivees, firmware, bios, hardware, software, windows update etc) the only thing is that the actual game is to blame and that is not much you can do anything about.

When you check your system, are there any pending Windows updates?

Do you use any programs with overlays or something like MSI Afterburner, EVGA Precision X1, or Gigabyte Xtreme Engine?

Double-check the NVIDIA Control Panel for overclocking:

Here is how to disable overclocking from NVIDIA Control Panel:

Right-click Desktop > NVIDIA Control Panel > Manage 3D Settings > Performance > Global Settings > Power Management Mode.
If it is set to Prefer Maximum Performance, it means overclocking is active.
Change to the Optimal Power option to disable overclocking in the NVIDIA GPU.

Also, check the debug mode in the NVIDIA's Control Panel.

NVIDIA Control Panel power management mode was set to normal.
Debug mode checked still crashing

You can also try clearing the EA app cache and reinstalling the EA app since it's needed for DRM authentication, even with the game installed on Steam.
