I have been playing for a few days straight with no problem at all. Today it started crashing only upon death. I tried deleting the cache folder, lowering the resolution, and running the game as administrator, but nothing fixed it.
Any solutions?
Same problem here. It was working fine a few days ago, then this morning I downloaded an update for the game and surprise !
The game now crashes when I die in game. I didn't ask for this Ultra-hardcore mode...
My friend does not have this issue though, and you're the first post I found online speaking about the issue, so it should be pretty rare ?
I tried uninstalling the game and downloading it again, but the problem is still here. The game works like a charm, but crashes instantly upon death. Tried deactivating the EA Overlay just in case, didn't work either.
Drivers are up to date.

Got exactly the same problem. It was OK on Tuesday but its unplayable today. From my analysis it seems it is somehow related to an AMD driver amdxc64.dll (got an update to Adrenalin 25.5.1 today and I believe its the cause).

UPDATE: Downgraded from Adrenaline 25.5.1 to 25.3.1 and it seems issue has been resolved (died a dozen times and no crash). In order to downgrade i followed these steps:

Same problem after updating the the game today. Crashing at death on foot. Not in vehicle.

Followed same instructions from Twawienny's post, except I only rolled back one version to 25.4.1 since it was working fine. Works great now.
