Yes I have been doing extensive research too, got the same issue with the service ASUS Com Service (asComSyc) that keeps starting and stopping non stop while playing Battlefield 2042 only. I tried many games, including Battlefield 1, Helldivers 2 etc, only happen to Battlefield 2042.
Disabling it disconnect aura synch so all the lightnings stop working. If you go to control panel, large icon view, then security and maintenance, maintenance, view reliability history, you can see a huge amount of errors coming from that service (cf attached pictures). All the time windows sends a report that creates some stuttering and use Internet (cf attached pictures). So annoying, I thought I was the only one. I use Armoury crate for aura synch, I have RTX4090, AMD 7950X3D on a Asus Rog Crosshair X670E Hero MOAB. My PC is 3 months old, it came with Armoury crate installed.
I nearly uninstalled Armoury crate but then I realised only Btf2042 was causing the issue so so far I disable the service when playing it. It's not worth the trouble uninstalling and reinstalling everything just for a nearly dead game but I hope the next Battlefield won't have the issue!
@cedrikovitch happens to bfv too and its driving me nuts.. i dont play bf2042 anymore.. the other day i was playing for a few hours and was in the middle of a match and boom all my * turned off and had to restart my pc.. this is so aggrivating and by the looks of it are not gonna fix it anytime soon or else they would have done something by now.. i heard this was happening since april or may.. smh.
