    Ok I managed to fix this. You have to add the license of the free trial to your steam account trough the steam database website. Go to this link and choose 'add free license' on the top(you need their chrome extension). https://steamdb.info/sub/665600/ It's installing now.

Well, if it's fixed then I may have made it worse by uninstalling it before it was because I still can't install it. At the time of writing, I go to the Steam store, bring up Battlefield 2042, click the Play Game button (pictured), and it gives me this error message: "An error occured while installing Battlefield 2042 (No Licenses)."

I've tried restarting Steam, deleting my old Battlefield 2042 install folder, and restarting my computer.
