    Ok I managed to fix this. You have to add the license of the free trial to your steam account trough the steam database website. Go to this link and choose 'add free license' on the top(you need their chrome extension). https://steamdb.info/sub/665600/ It's installing now.

Can't seem to launch battlefield for steams free weekend, Just keep getting a "Unidentified Game" message and it's prompting me to put the cd key in which is not possible to do.

    I used to have EA play on my account but i cancelled the subscription ages ago. I tried following that thread but i manage to get a error message when i try install the license.

      @Twirledify, hmm, that's very strange indeed. I'm afraid that we're unable to troubleshoot this further at this moment because the free weekend ended. ☹️
