False positive ban after month of not playing

So I decided to get back on bf2042 after months of not playing... I update, launch the game, start playing. 1 minute into play I get an error. "player was ejected from the game because Easy anti-cheat authentication fails."

I think ok, odd. Did some research and ran the EAC set up in the bf2042 steam folder. I launch the game again, join a game, error... again... except this time is says "player was ejected from game because EAC policy is violated."

Excuse me? What does this mean? I paid to much money for a game that was broke on launch and finally decide to play again and I get kicked from games?

I have never used any cheat on this pc for any game and the only back ground program running is razor software...

I'm afraid to keep playing thinking I might get banned.

    Have you tried rebooting? I had that happen once, no idea why (although was a slightly different error but was EAC related). But I don't want you to get banned on my advice. Could also try running a repair on the game or an uninstall/reinstall to be safe?

    Do you use any screen overlay software like Rivaturner etc?

    I think I should add, before contacting EA put a list together of any new mouse or keyboard since last played. List of any changes in software like keyboard and mouse software, any trainers installed like Cheat engine etc. Any RGB lighting software installed. See if they can see if your account was connected from another computer, as in hijacked account. Change your password!

    @Klorasaurox apparently its due to corrupted fiels for EAC...
    according to a video i watched you just need to repair your gamefilesand it should work...
    but don't strangle me if it still doesn't

    @Klorasaurox Hi if you have the LightingService running in task manager disable it as it can cause issues with eac in 2042.

    Hi @Klorasaurox, try running EAC and Battlefield 2042 as admin also verify your game files.
