UPDATE:
Today I was able finally to play a game without issues on BF2042 since I bought the new card 9070 XT and with 25.5.1. After trying everything (also 25.3.1 reduce issues but still exists). I found these tricks
- DISABLE the WINDOWS DRR: despite the monitor is 165 hz, WINDOWS 11 24H2 stuck BF2042 @ 60 hz during game. I discovered thanks to the MONITOR HW overlay counter (not from SW overlays ..). Now FREESYNC PRO works correctly dynamically change the frequency during game
- After point 1) I was able to play BUT with high CPU 100% and with some freeze -> I disabled and removed all the SONIC COMPANION audio and NAHIMIC service, after this CPU went to normal 60-70% on average during game. This service was installed long time ago, so don't understand reason why now is conflicting.
Not sure this will be the solution but I continue to monitor the situation.
