Game unplayable (significant lag/stuttering) after 4.1 update (help)

12700K, 10GB 3080, 32GB DDR4 RAM 34 inch widescreen

Regardless of any in game option changes, i can only get between 40-80fps when playing BF2042. No issue on any other game.

Low, Medium, Ultra, DLSS on/off, any setting can't get more than 80fps in game. On menus it will bounce between 90-280fps.  

Tried all the recommended tweaks on youtube and other forums. No dice (pun intended). 

Any hints? 

Since the launch of Season 1 there is a consistent graphical stuttering while moving as infantry and driving ground vehicles (incredibly visible during the 3rd person chase cam).  Interestingly enough, it was a smooth go while gunning in the new helicopter.  It does not occur while stationary panning back and forth with the mouse.  Additionally, none of the surrounding other players appear to be rubber banding or "lagging" around. CPU / GPU temps running as normal. Checking the new network overlay feature, my latency hovers in the low teens consistently with the biggest jump momentarily into the low forties.  I've tested with every in-game graphics setting combination I could think of but it is still an issue.  Cleared cache, re-installed graphics driver, re-installed the game, updated everything I can, no unnecessary background processes running or in game overlays (Discord, Nvidia, etc.) but to no success. Running the game via a wired connection on a RTX 3080 (no OC) // R9 5900x // 32GB RAM and installed on a SSD.  Was able to play with out issue at launch and prior to S1 apart from the known bugs.  Attached dxdiag

@EA_LeeuwI second this post. While flying a chopper I get HUGE lag/stuttering and it cropped up about 3 days ago and hasn't gone away. It looks like I'm rubber banding constantly and this never used to happen. I'm at my wit's end, flying is the main thing I do in this game.

edit: my CPU is overclocked to 4.5 and I do not use DLSS, pretty sure my card does not feature that.

I have tried it with and without DLSS and it appears to feel the same in terms of stuttering.  My most recent play session DLSS was enabled   My RAM is not overclocked however my CPU may be running the factory OC settings (I'm 90% positive it is).  I'll explore that later on.  In terms of the ArmourySocketService.exe, I have yet to experience an in-game crash while playing in quite a long time but I'll try disabling that .exe and see if that rectifies the stutter.  Thanks   

What is even happening right now. Considerable lag and issues with hitreg and in general. Terrible FPS and overall enjoyment has plummeted since the update. I will post several videos and you will see gameplay as Mccay and specifically there is a moment where I grapple near an opponent and proceed to shoot them and get no hit marks but somehow get a damage assist near the helipad at C? My shots weren't that off, if at all, and the lag itself is playing a massive factor. There is also another instance where I come up behind two people and while I'm getting shot in the back the person in front of me is the one that somehow killed me while it appeared he wasn't facing me. I'm sure this will be remedied when they do the actual movement update, I just figured I would add it anyway. You will also see a moment with Lis' new rocket where it completely turns around for no reason, I know ya'll have seen similar clips. Also, while flying chopper there is CONSTANT rubber banding that does not go away and this never happened prior to the last update. It's making me not want to play the game at all. FIX IT ASAP PLEASE. This is every single session non stop until I get frustrated and have to stop playing.

@blitz719krieg, gotcha. It could very well be that it has something to do with an OC setting, who knows. 

Oh, I didn't mean that the crashing of 'ArmourySocketService.exe' is the reason that you're experiencing these issues with Battlefield 2042, but these issues could be the result of the ArmourySocketService.exe program crashes. Could be connected, don't know, only one way to find out. 🙂

When you're playing with DLSS, which setting do you pick? And do you notice any difference if you switch DLSS settings?

@xpaydayx, can you see if you can enable the in-game Network Graph and check if you're experiencing any actual network issues? Would appreciate it a lot if you're able to capture a video, for example.

Regarding the Armoury Socket Service.exe I uninstalled it and everything related to it.  CPU is no longer overclocked.  I ran through all of the available "modes" for DLSS but ultimately turned it off as neither of the options available made a difference.  The only time there is absolutely no stuttering is when I play the introduction mission.

@xpaydayx, thanks. I really don't want to whine, and sorry if I come over like I want to, but I am unable to clearly see the numbers that I would like to take a look at, due to the compression quality of the video on Imgur. Would you maybe be able to upload these videos with the Network Graph to YT and post a link here?

@blitz719krieg, hmm, alright, so nothing has made a difference? That's unfortunate. Would you maybe also be able to capture a video or some videos of some gameplay with the Network Graph enabled, where you experience these issues? It's normal that you experience no issues during the intro mission since this is locally stored on your PC.
