How do I turn off chat text to speech?

Someone please help I can't find any communications menu I have no idea how to turn this off and its SO LOUD and not effected by the volume settings at all all chat messages are text to speech plea...

    @mlg_mega thanx m8! that worked for me .. just had to find the line "GstAudio.TTSEnabled 1 to GstAudio.TTSEnabled 0" and click save.. worked for me.. the guy under should try finding his game in his pc then the settings file.. its there .. I promise.. 🙂 tanks again! but they should still fix an extra line in accessability/communication with the option to turn this off.

found this in another thread confirmed working



  • Navigate to C:\Users\[USERNAME]\Documents\Battlefield 2042\settings\

  • Make a backup of file called PROFSAVE_profile

  • Open PROFSAVE_profile with notepad

  • Change GstAudio.TTSEnabled 1 to GstAudio.TTSEnabled 0
