WARNING: Your save file(s) are corrupt and could not be read by the game. Continuing will overwrite the corrupt save file. So I did and totally restarted back to the screen settings.
Is anyone else having this issue?

Press Windows key + 'R' ,typ CMD
Press and hold down CTRL + SHIFT and press ENTER.
When User Account Control shows up, click Yes.
Use the following command lines, pressing Enter after each
(make sure you wait till each of the commands is executed properly):
sfc /scannow
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
Reboot system:
Now again
Press Windows key + 'R' ,typ CMD
Press and hold down CTRL + SHIFT and press ENTER.
When User Account Control shows up, click Yes.
Use the following command line:
chkdsk /f /r
A message will ask to run chkdsk as soon ya did reboot system, select "Y"
This scan will take some time, depends on size of drive and the ammount of files at this drive.
Go watch a movie , it will need +/- an hour or more!!!!!!!!

PS this will do a check at drive C: (game installed at C: ???)
Else use this command:
chkdsk X: /f /r
X <- needs to be the drive letter where BF2042 is installed at!
