Nvidia control panel settings

Hi all, I have been testing FPS with various settings and have found some interesting results that I would like to share.

I have found the control panel 3d settings set to “quality” offers the highest fps. I have a RTX3080. I tried the in-game settings on low, medium, high and ultra, and found over and over again that I gain about 8 FPS on low settings compared if the Nvidia control panel settings are set to “performance”. 

I have tested this several times on different laps and found the same results. I always assumed the control panel “performance” setting would have given the highest FPS. 

I also have tried various custom contol panel settings as recommended by youtube “guru’s” claiming increase FPS, but I have found I get worse FPS.
