Hey everyone @samyhd @Apocalipz @jimcrunchx @OLDMozza666 @Kahuna169 we are still investigating and need some more info from you.
Can you close all other programs and disable antivirus/firewalls and try to start Battlefield 2042. If the same issue as above happens can you follow the below steps.
Can you collect system logs using Process Monitor, guide on how to here. Make sure that all other programs are closed while doing this (Will help reduce flooding of other data logs). Once you have the results can you Direct Messages me on AHQ with the results and we will get it sent on to the team.
Thank you!

Hey @OLDMozza666,
I am glad to hear that it got sorted for you.
May I ask what steps you performed that now resulted in a working EAC and game for you?- 4 years ago
@EA_Leeuw hi, i first stopped all appslike spotify, plex etc. then i disabled ALL windows security and also one drive.this allowed EAC to run and start BF. I then started the security one by one to see if they stopped. they did not stop eac. I then enabled one drive but notices a sync error. the Battlefield2042 foldr was screwed so i deletd the one on my pc and restored from back up.. all been working since. It has also fixed the error that starts the setup and tuition video. hope this helps.

@samyhd Yippeeeee, looks like its sorted. I think, but not 100% certain, it was a currupt Battlefield2042 folder in documents cache etc( i assume this is the data etc) i deleted and restored from a previous onedrive back up and hey presto alls good. Fingers crossed. No idea how it got currupted....
