Press the tilde key ~ and type screenshot.render
Screenshots are saved in Documents\Battlefield 2042\Screenshots
Nvidia and Radeon should have built-in screenshot features as well.

This can't be the way to do it. Print Screen always just took the screenshot in the past....the idea of having to type that out every time to take a screen cap of something that just happened makes no sense. By the time you think to type all that in, the moment may be over.

I agree and would use Nvidia or Radeon screenshot software instead.

i agree lol, same here darnt take a screen shot by the time the games maximized again , I'm dead

That usually happens when a game runs in exclusive fullscreen, so the Print Screen key forces a focus change. Switching to borderless fullscreen or using a tool like Xbox Game Bar often fixes it. I ran into the same thing while taking screenshots of slicer previews, since apps like Orca Slicer use a lot of keyboard shortcuts too. If anyone’s curious, I grabbed it from https://orcaslicer.pro and noticed windowed mode makes screenshots much smoother without minimizing anything.
