Re: Breakthrough Returns to Main Menu After Match Found

Hi everyone, I have a problem with BF2042. I can't join a cross-play server in Conquest and Breakthrough mode. After selecting a map, the map won't load. A black screen appears and I'm kicked out to the main menu. I tried to fix the problem myself, but to no avail. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game. I deleted my save file. I uploaded and downloaded my save file to the cloud. I also connected my console to a network cable, but nothing helped. I reset the console with the power button for 7 seconds, checked the licenses and updates, and nothing. Is there any way to fix this??? PS5

Zeznuix55 Hey, thank you for letting us know about this one. Never really thought about those restrictions causing an issue like this one, but good to know.

that might be for people who have family restrictions , but i never had restrictions on my ps5 and bf2042 hasnt black screen since the fix EA_Shepard shephered put out for us 😊

Hello guys, I had the same problem and I fixed it. The game wouldn’t start because of the family and parental controls. The only thing you need to do is go to the PS5 Console Restrictions section and make sure the “Temporarily Disable PS5 Console Restrictions” option is enabled. You also need to do this every time you start the console :))

yes, there is a Black screen also in Hazard Zone. It starts last week,
i clean the cache folder... one round OK - but the second one "Black screen".
Now you can clean whatever you want, repair and stand up and turn around - nothing happend! ;)

its been more than 2 weeks. ım not expecting anyone to fix it. bf6 sales are low. ea is forcing everyone to buy bf6 by making bf2042 unplayable. of course they needed an umbrella to cover this which they named "cheat". this is the summary of whats going on.
