@crnhlio Big developments there 😞 Maybe they updated the logging as well, check in %appdata%\EasyAntiCheat\gamelauncher.log, %appdata%\EasyAntiCheat\loader.log for any info.

I actually got another update. So today when the symptom changed (failed to start vs x2 eac launch then nothing) I dug around and figured out its an issue with webroot av.
SO the tldr here is that shutting down the av app doesnt fix the issue (if you look in services.msc you will see several webroot apps (stating with WR) still running even with the app stopped and you cant stop them).
BASICALLY the workaround I have found is to completely uninstall webroot. If you are using it id try the same.
My suspicion is that these two issues are the same and has been the issue all along.
- @crnhlio antivirus needs to be disabled if you are getting this issue. Windows defender seems OK though.
No what im telling you is that for webroot specifically disabling it is not sufficient it must be fully uninstalled
I have just got a new build PC. I can play all other games just fine with settings to max and no issues. BF2042 though i get the 'splash screen' indicating the game is loading and then after 10 seconds or so it goes back to Origin. This computer is a new build. Please fix this / help me.
Have you done all bios and driver updates?
Did you ever find a fix? none suggested works and it started after I got a new PC as well
