Settings resets to default
So this is like the 3-4th time i get my settings reset to default. Intro scene is playing when starting the game. Is this because they updated the game/patched?

Do you have OneDrive (or any other cloud backup software) installed and running in the background, that makes continuous backups of the My Documents folder, by any chance?

Had this happen to me yesterday after the EAC update. Very annoying. I uninstalled one drive a year ago and have no other cloud software so can't be that.

Do you maybe have a 3rd party Antivirus installed that could be constantly guarding the Documents folder? In general it is always a good practice to make an exclusion for the Documents folder to possibility prevent this from happening in the future.
As a test, if you have a 3rd party AV installed, or even only Microsoft Defender, can you make an exclusion for the Documents folder and see if it keeps happening?@EA_Leeuw I'm running the default Windows defender. This is the 3rd time my settings have been reset.

I would also like to recommend to check if the Origin clous saves could be the issue here.
Can you see if the following works for you:
- open Origin as normal
- click in the upper-left corner on Origin > Application settings
- click in the top bar on Installs & Saves and disable Origin Cloud
- save and reboot Origin
- start BF2042 and check your settings, change something if needed
- close game & Origin & reboot PC
- open Origin again and re-enable Origin cloud saves
- open BF2042 and if it asks you to replace saves, click on the field that says to replace the cloud saves with the local saves (override cloud with local)
- see if the settings are still the same or reset
