Recently 2042 came to Gamepass, so installed it and waited patiently for it to finish, on starting the game my Xbox One fan ramps up very loudly, goes away after a few seconds... however after it says ""syncing data for battlefield 2042"" it then goes to the ""connecting to EA servers"" bit... it asks me to press A to continue, this is where it gets weird... a few seconds pass and it then goes to a webscreen popup that tells me my password is too weak and must be changed, fill in the first bit and the confirmation and press next, then i get the same error that it cant connect to EA servers check your network connection blah bla blah... my internet connection is wired at 200Mbps, so cant see this being an issue, no other games EA or not give any network related errors, i tried changing DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 but still the same error... very annoying... but i also noticed that EA Play no longer appears as an app in the app section of my Xbox, not sure if it actually matters or not and other EA Play games work just fine... disappointing...
