Weapons progress not registering or going backwards??

Hi, over the past few months (I don't get chance to play that often) I've been trying to unlock a weapon where on of the challenges is to get 'Kills in a round with and an assault rifle at a distance more than 50m'. I was really struggling with this and wasn't making any progress, I put it down to not getting the distance or just me being crap.

The other week I started making a real effort and taking note of the kills and distances and noticed I was actually getting the kills but it wasn't showing up in the progress. I did manage to get to 6 of 10 and thought that I'd cracked it but I checked the other night and it was back at zero.  

Has anybody else experienced this? How do I complain, the chatbot thing is **bleep**e and I cant seem to contact anybody at EA? With all the negative shenanigans of late with secure boot and all, I'm contemplating not playing battlefield any more they aren't the games they once were.
