are you referring to the FNB mode featured this week called Breakthrough Mayhem? It has damage, health, movement, and projectile velocity modifiers: faster on-foot movement, vehicles take less damage and have more health, projectile velocity is doubled (or at least is increased dramatically), and explosive damage is increased. Breakthrough Mayhem doesn't list these but it very clearly feels just like Rush Mayhem (which had a short description detailing these things), in which case, the double projectile velocity is why in this particular mode there is seemingly no bullet drop (there still is).
Regular Breakthrough, just like Conquest and the other mainstay modes of the main menu, does not have these modifiers, and you can very easily tell there is realistic (enough) bullet drop when aiming for anything greater than the intended zero of the currently equipped sight/scope. i mean just use the NTW-50 (basically a .50 BMG) and aim for anything past 150m and you start to see how dramatic the bullet drop really is
