Battlefield 6 Open Beta - EA Anti-Cheat Service Fails
I’m unable to launch the Battlefield 6 Open Beta. The game opens the splash screen, sometimes loads the bar, then closes instantly with no error or crash message. Happens every time.
EA Anti-Cheat (Javelin) service is installed, but does not start properly. Event Viewer shows:
EAAntiCheatService – "Failed retrieving service path."
Details:
Service appears in services.msc but does not run when launching game,
Steam always reports 3 corrupted files on validation,
EA Anti-Cheat reinstalls every time the game launches,
Game never progresses beyond splash screen,
What I’ve already done:
Reinstalled Visual C++ x86 and x64,
Fully uninstalled EA Anti-Cheat and cleaned registry,
Deleted ProgramData and leftover AC folders,
Disabled OneDrive, overlays, RGB software, etc.,
Disabled Virtualization and Hyper-V,
Verified files multiple times,
Launched via both Steam and EA App,
Tried on a clean local Windows 11 user account,
Reset Windows security policies via secedit,
Ran everything as administrator,
Confirmed EA Anti-Cheat service is listed but does not respond,
I am using Windows 11 Home, no third-party antivirus, and no issues with other Steam or EA games.
This issue is likely a problem with the beta client or EA Anti-Cheat backend validation. I have spoken to EA Support four times (3+ hour queues) with no resolution. I’m requesting:
Escalation to the technical QA or anti-cheat team,
Confirmation this beta client is valid and not being rejected,
Logs or debug tools if available to trace the silent exit,
This is not a system misconfiguration. It’s a reproducible issue affecting at least some Steam users. If you’re also affected, please comment.
Thanks.
