Well class system in general has issues. Honestly speaking you don't need medic to resupply, just die and respaw and problem solved, however having a resupply option at bases already under your control isn't a bad idea and you won't need to chase around medic to resupply. Yes I have done that, died chasing a medic who then processed to tea bag me before stepping on my face and taking off.
Ps not saying medic are bad, just that not all support players are medics
