I have to strongly disagree with calls to further weaken controller aim assist. The argument that controllers are "easier" misses the bigger picture: mouse and keyboard will always have a significant advantage in raw input precision, turn speed, and keybinding flexibility.
If certain weapons feel overpowered in crossplay, the issue isn’t the input device—it’s the weapons themselves. Guns like the DRS and SCW-10 have extremely low recoil and laser-like accuracy, making them dominant at too many engagement ranges. Instead of harming the gameplay experience for millions of console players by tampering with aim assist, the focus should be on rebalancing these specific weapons.
Nerfing a control method that helps level the playing field for controller users will only frustrate the core console community. If mouse and keyboard players feel recoil control is too easy on controller, why not advocate for improving recoil smoothing or control options on MNK instead? “Buffing” the experience for one group is always better than “nerfing” it for another.
Let’s keep the discussion focused on real balance issues—overperforming guns—not undermining the way most console players experience the game.
