Battlefield 6 PC Joystick support

Will there be native support for using a joystick added to Battlefield 6 at any point?

I've played most of the previous games in the series and usually spend as much time as I can flying the helicopters or jets around. I've got my trusty Sidewinder Precision 2 joystick that I've always used for the job. I can't find a way to get BF6 to recognise any of the inputs within the settings but windows recognises the joystick and shows all the inputs as working.

If joystick compatibility isn't going to be added will I end up getting banned if I do a workaround such as X360CE to get the joystick to mimic a controller? - I want some sort of written confirmation from someone who works within the company that I wont end up getting banned if I have to do this as a workaround. Trying to fly with a mouse and keyboard is much like trying to drive a car with your legs crossed, possible but stupid.

Thanks.

  • I have my Logitech Extreme 3D Pro mapped and it works flawlessly.

I've seen the options but none of my inputs are detected unfortunately. Very frustrating!

It is still there. I can map my Joystick just fine. I mapped it like BF2042. However unlike 2042, this doesn't work at all. 2042 works fine. I have yet to see ANY response out of EA about fixing this. Go to Controller > Edit Settings > and scroll down to Joystick then scroll down a little.

  • Funny there was menu items for joystick hidden in the beta menus.  I hope this is added soon.  it did come later for some reason in other games.
