MackTKau & RanzigeRidder2 Thank you both for the feedback, as you both raise a valid point. I usually see it as being very situational, but there have been times when I've been driving a tank and had to retreat somewhere safe to repair myself, since nobody on my team seemed to want to do it, and/or there wasn't a resupply station around (tangent: Dice might need to consider adding them to some Breakthrough sectors. E.G. Manhattan sectors 2 and 3). At the same time, I try not to get out when teammates are nearby, as I like to hope that they'll help me out. In the middle of combat, though, I do agree that the captain should go down with their (land)ship to avoid gifting it to the enemy team.
Since I do think this might be helpful knowledge for people to have, albeit with a caveat, I'll add it to the "Common Mistakes" section with a disclaimer.
