Bots dont care if you bleed out

I know it is not just me that has seen a Bot with a cross above them run right past you while you are lying on the ground using your last breath in this life crying out for someone to come and heal you!!

I am looking for a simple explanation of how bot medics are programmed.  What triggers their humanitarian side to the point where they will heal you?  My perception is that only about maybe 30% of the time one will stop and heal you.  I do realize that if you are under the gun of the enemy they will most likely not sacrifice themselves because I seldom make the attempt myself.

Your thoughts?

In previous versions, bots would revive teammates quite often, but now they barely revive anyone at all.
On top of that, they've started shooting as if they're using some kind of ESP hack.

The bots just keep evolving in ways that make them more and more frustrating for players.

They prioritize reacting to incoming fire over everything else. If the bots are set to "Normal" difficulty, they can neither hit the target nor heal you.

These issues make them the worst bots ever:

    * They force you to waste ammo (it's like Neo from *The Matrix* dodging bullets).
    * They can accidentally one-shot you due to a delayed aimbot effect.
    * They always prefer shooting over healing.
    * They move according to their own pathing, which seems completely random.
    * They always see you through walls.
    * They share your coordinates with their teammates—so bots start firing from 150 meters away and land at least one bullet on you. As a result, you return fire and waste ammo, only to get killed by a real player.
    * They never spots enemies until start fire, so they show enemy your position at same time.
    * They never cover your back because of delayed aim - running enemy tricks them, instead of holding pos enemy meet really herds of bots - kill 3 - you get more 4, and guarantee to die.

They don't help. They just make the game worse.

One benefit. They allow to start game with 8 players instead of 32 (matchmaking time 10 sec instead of 120)

  • LOL, I gotta admit that sometimes when a bot ignores me I wish that friendly fire was turned on so that I could empty a clip into them "Maximum Effort" style!
