Cheating is destroying this game

I'm an old timer, I've been playing BF since BF2 and even though I gave COD a chance a couple of times my heart always went to BF.

I bought this game full price (which I do not do often these days) to have fun and get that BF feel back again.

The game is really good, the graphics look wonderful on my 5080 but dear god.... the number of cheaters is astounding, they don't even try to hide anymore. My last two games have been plagued by obvious cheaters and it totally threw me off to the point where I didn't feel like playing the game anymore.

I know I'm going to be attacked by a few stealth cheaters telling me to "get gud" but I've been playing online games while you were still in your dad's balls, I know what cheating looks like.

This whole premium cheats market has destroyed online gaming and BF is falling to it as well.

No doubt EA is working hard with their new anti-cheat, but unfortunately private cheats and premium cheats updated on the fly are extremely difficult to detect. Even heard some of them use AI now to "anticipate" player's movements.

What's the point of playing legit after realizing you can blatantly cheat and get away with it for as cheap as $5 per session?

It's time game devs also start using AI to monitor player's screens and detect cheating, let's get done with this once and for all because it's completely ruining online gaming for a lot of folks.

Not sure when I'm going to launch the game anymore, I'm sick and tired of these people that can't play fair.

Had to vent, thanks for taking the time to read.

  • It’s bad, I mean really bad. Stalking spawn points. Same sniper killing me over and over on the big maps literally following you around. Aimbots for sure are rampant, the amount of full sprint flicks 180s and takes out 4-5 people one mag. Cmon, even good players get lucky like that sometimes but guys just hoping around like fairies not even hiding it. The worst one is getting shot through walls with regular weapons is crazy, and happens a lot! I’m not talking maybe my foot was sticking out, I’m talking in a concrete room with three walls and getting shot from the other side of the wall!!!  EA is failing to address this at all, they just want thier money. Guess I’ll play now and then and go play single player games for a bit. Definitely not spending a dime on thier in game currency. Sad man I enjoyed the game for the 100 hours I put in, until….

looks like the new way to bypass any anti cheat, is to plug in the Cronus/Cheats into the a Stream deck (which is why lots of streamers are able to cheat).  I am not sure how the "report" cheater works with BF because the process to report someone is not a simple click, and we don't know how these reports are handled. in CoD the "reports" are filtered through AI, which is why nobody gets banned, it only looks for hate speech and certain patterns.

Recommended solution: DICE should implement a Game Master that randomly pops into hosted matches and drop ban hammers live. Adding a killcam would also reduce the number of reports, and  allowing for replay mode where players can go watch the entire match from any POV would allow the players to do the homework and capture the evidence, saving DICE hundreds of hours investigating potential cheating reports.

I don't agree with you. Unfortunately, you can't prove that someone is cheating, because this game lacks the necessary mechanics to catch cheaters. There's no killcam, no spectator mode, and no reliable way to review suspicious behavior. Even the stats aren't trustworthy - a player can easily farm impressive numbers by playing against bots. I feel there are some cheaters, but a lot are just good skill gamers.

Everything you've mentioned is the reason people cheat so much in this game. I was expecting the "get gud" guy to come out of the woodwork at some point so I'm not surprised someone denies this is an issue. Bots aren't the problem.

When a dude is sitting in a game doing HS left and right and sitting at 60 - 2 this isn't skill or luck, it's called wallhack and aimbot.

The reality is that the number of players who are genuinely this good aren't that many, because it takes a lot of practice and skills.

Numerous twitch streamers have been caught red handed cheating while pretending to be skilled players and this is becoming more and more common. Stealth cheating is a real issue, and it's even worse than blatant cheating because they're just trying to look "good".

This is what most modern hacks put forward to sell their stuff.

The last Discord I was on selling these cheats had thousands of players, and this was just one of them. Imagine the number of idiots out there doing this **bleep**. No dude, it's bigger than you think.

  • It doesn't help that people can unlock everything in the game by playing bot lobbies either. They need to crack down on these kiddos. They don't need their money. If they take care of us they will get the money they need for years to come. Who needs these cracked out Autistic kids anyways lol. Not battlefield. Cod can have em.
