DICE general manager wants to support BF6 for at least 2 more years

https://www.indy100.com/gaming/battlefield-6-season-4-updates-live-service

Rebecka Coutaz, Criterion and DICE general manager and vice president, said: "We have a fantastic player community that sets high standards for us, they require bigger maps, more maps, more content and we're solely focused on our players and Battlefield at the moment.

"Battlefield is a platform and we announced our roadmap for Season 4 in April; it's a big beast Battlefield."

When asked if there are big plans for Battlefield for at least the next two years, Coutaz said: "Yes, of course."

Danny Isaac, a senior producer at Criterion, who is this person? …Did Criterion produce the campaign? I think so, and if so have them produce a DLC solo PvE against bots! It’s pretty evident that Dice took solo play away from us and haven’t the skill or need to give us back solo PvE against bots for the millions that bought BF6 for the campaign and solo/co-op PvE play modes.

I doubt it has anything to do with how competent the devs are because you can play conquest now with 1 or 2 real players on each team when the matchmaking doesn't put you with more players and the rest of the server are bots. Then the game plays like 2042 solo mode.

I think it's just priorities because they still have to build the interface they created in 2042 to offer solo play. There's a reasonably good chance they may add it back before support ends if players keep asking for it.
