EA Just Lost a Battlefield Player
I am absolutely livid about the decision to remove Rush from Battlefield 6.
Rush is not some secondary game mode to me. Rush is Battlefield for me. It has been my favorite shooter experience for years, and it is the primary reason I play Battlefield in the first place. I bought Battlefield 6 expecting to play the game I was shown and advertised, including the mode I have spent countless hours enjoying.
Now EA has simply removed Rush from the game without any meaningful warning, while it was still part of the marketing and expectations surrounding Battlefield 6. That is incredibly frustrating. I did not buy this game because I wanted "some version" of Battlefield. I bought it because I wanted Battlefield, and specifically the style of Battlefield that Rush provides.
What makes this even worse is that Xbox players do not have the same refund options that some Steam players have reportedly been able to use. So I am essentially stuck with a game that no longer contains the experience I purchased it expecting to play.
I understand that games evolve. I understand that developers have to make difficult decisions. What I do not understand is removing one of the defining modes of the franchise and expecting longtime players to simply accept it.
This decision has completely killed my interest in Battlefield 6. I will not be playing Battlefield 6 again unless Rush is brought back as a permanent, properly supported game mode.
And I want to be very clear about something: I will not buy another Battlefield game until Rush returns. Not Battlefield 7. Not a new premium edition. Not a preorder. Nothing.
Battlefield has been my favorite shooter franchise of all time. EA had a player who genuinely loved this series and wanted to keep supporting it. Removing Rush has turned that loyalty into distrust.
Please bring Rush back.
