We all know the issues with netcode and hit registration. I doubt BF6s stack penalties even work.
In Battlefield 2, bunny hopping and jumping are penalized through stamina depletion, removed mid-air shooting, and patched dolphin diving.
Movement and Combat Penalties in Battlefield 2 Stamina Depletion: Repeatedly jumping drains your character's stamina bar (which is shared with sprinting); when your stamina is empty, your jump height and forward momentum are significantly reduced.
No Mid-Air Firing: Following updates (specifically Patch 1.2), developers made it so players are "unable to fire at all when jumping" or shooting while in mid-air, removing the ability to effectively jump-shoot.
Dolphin Dive Removal: Early versions allowed players to jump and instantly hit the prone key to "dolphin dive" and exploit prone accuracy bonuses while moving; Patch 1.2 targeted and restricted these overlapping movement transitions.
To be clear everyone was doing the dolphin dive exploit for the prone benefits they were not jumping like rabbits. I remember in BF2 everyone was diving everywhere for that exploit so Dice patched it and removed it all.
The dive exploit and the rabbit jumping because that was the counter for the dolphin dive exploit. If they dolphin dived infront of you. You rabbit jumped because they couldnt aim that high in prone that close to you.
Yeah clearly you didn't play Battlefield 2 either Ruxem or you would know this or you didnt notice it like the cheating in this game. 🤔.
Your now playing CODFIELD.
So did BF6 go back to its roots?
Definitely not we got a COD game with a COD developer. Also a bait and switch on the portal. This is not battlefield. This is Dice trying to be like Activision. 🤣
And what happened? They gained COD fans and lost thousands of us true Battlefield fans.
