EA Needs to Improve the Player Reporting System

EA really needs to take a closer look at its player reporting system, both in-game and on the EA website. Right now, it’s unreliable and often feels like it’s barely functioning. Too many players trying to report cheating, harassment, or toxic behaviour end up hitting “Error 404 – Page Not Found”, broken redirects, or forms that simply fail to load or submit.

When reports don’t go through, or there’s no sign that they were received, it breaks trust. It leaves players feeling like their voices don’t matter, even when they’re trying to make the community better. And honestly, it starts to feel like anyone can break the rules without consequence, because the systems meant to hold people accountable just don’t work.

On top of that, the EA Help site has become increasingly difficult to navigate. It’s cluttered, confusing, and often sends players in circles trying to find the right place to submit a report or get support. For something as important as player safety and fair play, it shouldn’t feel like a maze of annoyance and frustration just to reach the right page.

Most players don’t want to use the reporting system unless they have to. But when they do, it’s because something crossed a line and needs to be addressed. If the system doesn’t work or doesn’t communicate back, it sends the wrong message: that bad behaviour can continue unchecked while the people who care about fair play are left in the dark and that EA just don’t care.

EA has built good games and strong communities, and that’s exactly why this matters. A healthy community depends on accountability, fairness, and transparency. The tools designed to protect that community need to reflect those same values.

  • A fully functional, stable reporting system with no more 404s, broken links, or failed submissions.
  • Clear confirmation that a report has been received, with a reference or ticket number for reassurance.
  • Follow-up communication when action is taken, even a short message like “We reviewed your report and appropriate action has been taken” goes a long way.
  • Public transparency updates showing how EA handles reports and enforces its rules to build community trust.
  • Better in-game integration that connects directly to the reporting system without friction.
  • A simpler, more intuitive EA Help site that makes it easy to find support without endless redirects, not a maze of annoyance and frustration.

Players want to know that when they take the time to report something, it’s actually being seen, tracked, and addressed. EA has the resources to make this right.
